The Yemeni army, backed by Houthi Ansarullah fighters, attacked Saudi tanks near Saudi’s border with Yemen on Tuesday.

The attacks launched on Tuesday targeted a number of Saudi tanks in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern city of Najran near the border with Yemen.

Saudi Arabia began its US-led military aggression against Yemen on March 26 without a United Nations [UN] mandate.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia aims to weaken the Houthi Ansarullah movement, and to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The UN says that nearly 2,000 people have been killed and 7,330 others injured since March due to the conflict in Yemen.
