A bomb attack hitting a Yemeni mosque has injured at least 13 people, including three children, in Yemen’s capital of Sana’a on Friday amid the ongoing US-led Saudi military aggression against the impoverished country.

The injuries came after a bomb went off at a mosque, named al-Sayyah, in the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a on Friday, the Akhbar al-Yemen television channel reported.

Reports say that the so-called "Daesh" ["ISIL"] Takfiri extremist group has claimed responsibility for the bombing. The "Daesh" extremists, who are mainly operating in Syria and Iraq, have conducted many gruesome acts in the two countries.

Saudi Arabia began its US-led military aggression against Yemen on March 26, without a UN mandate, in a bid to undermine Yemen’s Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

According to the United Nations [UN], over 1,800 people have been killed and 7,330 wounded since March 19 as a result of the conflict in Yemen.
