Yemen 2016: Humanitarian Response Plan at a Glance

Local Editor

In 2016, over 100 humanitarian organizations working in Yemen are appealing for US$1.8 billion to provide essential life saving and protection assistance to 13.6 million people across the country.

Most immediate assistance is needed in the food security, health and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sectors.

Yemen has become one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. The UN says famine looms as over half the population, or 14.4 million people, face hunger and not even its hospitals are spared.
