Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said that the Saudi-led coalition attacking Yemen follows the "Israeli" model in bombardment of infrastructures, massacre of civilian people and besieging the country, as he said in a meeting on Wednesday.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with board members of Iran-Palestine Friendship Group.

Thousands have been martyred and injured in the US-led Saudi aggression on Yemen, with the vast majority of them being civilians.

Saudi Arabia began its US-led military aggression against Yemen on March 26 - without a UN mandate - in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement, and to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
