Heaviest Coalition Raids yet Rock Yemen’s Capital Sanaa

The Saudi-led coalition jets pounded Yemen’s capital of Sanaa in what witnesses said on Wednesday was the most violent bombing of the aggression so far, prompting residents to flee.

Loud explosions rocked Yemen’s capital of Sanaa, until the early hours as warplanes struck Yemeni depots for a second straight night, residents said.

The strikes since Tuesday have targeted the presidential complex, with explosions lighting up the skies, residents further said.

The bombings also prompted many families to flee residential areas surrounding the hills to seek refuge elsewhere in the capital, witnesses said.

Explosions in Mount Noqum hit by the coalition earlier this month [May] martyred at least 69 people and wounded 250, mostly civilians living in surrounding areas, according to a health official.
Saudi Arabia began its US-led military aggression against Yemen on March 26 - without a UN mandate - in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement, and to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
