The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Sharaf Ghalib Luqman confirmed that the Saudi regime lacked vision or strategic objectives as it is hysterical after the huge failure of its 47-day long, brutal aggression on Yemen.

In a statement to the Yemeni news agency Sabaa, Luqman said, "Saudi Arabia has engaged in the absurd retaliatory war and war crimes against Yemenis; it is a stigma on the face of the Saudi regime and its supporters."

He further pointed out that Saudi Arabia which is leading an aggressive war and adopting the scorched field strategy was targeting the most basic necessities of life as well as destroying the civilized heritage and historical cities and sites, among which were Cairo Fort in Taiz, Ghamdan Palace and the Islamic City of Zabid- actions that revealed the Saudi army’s aggressive and retaliatory combat doctrine dating back to the pre-Islamic Jahili periods and retaliatory wars.

Moreover, the official spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces declared that the Saudi aggression’s violent strikes merely indicated the aggressors’ desperation and persistence to destroy and commit crimes against the innocent to prove that the situation is under their control; while, in fact, they were frustrated and disturbed by their huge failure.

The spokesman also confirmed that after 47 days of continuous aggression, the Yemeni security and armed forces are resilient, cohesive and present in all areas to back its supportive Yemeni people.

Accordingly, Luqman stated that, "The parties’ approval of the truce does not imply weakness, but it embodies concern for innocent lives and protection against the Saudi aggression’s heinous crimes that do not discriminate among women, children, elders nor youths".
