Yemen reports nine new coronavirus cases in Aden, two more deaths

Nine new coronavirus cases were reported in Aden, the headquarters of the resigned regime of Abd rabbu Mansour Hadi, including one death on Friday.

A second person infected in the southern province of Lahaj had died.

This takes the total count in areas under control of the Hadi regime to 34 infections with seven deaths.

The Yemeni salvation government has so far reported one infection, a Somali national who was found dead in a hotel.

More than five years of military campaign and aggression by the Saudi-led coalition has shattered the health system and left Yemen’s population weakened by widespread hunger and disease.
