Murad tribes withdrew on Wednesday their fighters fighting in ranks of the Saudi-led coalition forces in Al-Abdiya district, south of Marib province.
According to the sources in the province, the move came, after the Islah militias, on Tuesday, arrested three men of the tribe who were recruited in the ranks of the coalition from a commercial store in Al-Hajlah area of the district.
The sources indicated that Brigadier General Saif Abd Al-Rab Al-Shaddadi, a commander of the so-called third military region and 159 infantry brigade of the coalition forces, pledged to release three arrested men and backed them to their homes.
“Al-Shaddadi’s pledge has not yet been implemented, which led to a great tension between the tribes and the coalition forces in the district,” the sources added.
On Tuesday, Al-Abdiya tribes warned, in a statement, the Islah Party’s Special Security Forces of serious violations committed by those forces in the governorate, against the tribe’s arrested men.
