In a report published on its Facebook page, the organization said it had set up cholera treatment centres in nine Yemeni governorates: Amran, Hajjah, Dhale, Taiz, Ibb, Aden, Sana’a, Abyan and Hodeida.

The organization said it has also distributed water treatment and hygiene kits in Wadi Osman and other neighboring villages in the governorate of Amran, in addition to conducting educational sessions for the residents about cholera and how to prevent it.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Sunday that 425,192 suspected cases of cholera have been reported in Yemen since 27 April. Some 1,895 people have been killed by the disease during the same period.
