The Yemeni army and popular forces shelled positions of Saudi soldiers in military sites in Asir and Najran provinces, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Tuesday.
The groups were hit in the military position of Al Sahn, Alib and Khashban in Asir.
Moreover, the army's artillery hit a Saudi weapon depot in western and the position of the mercenaries in Altewel crossing, hitting the target directly, the official added.
Mercenaries also came under Yemeni fire in Obasah and Bawabat Salah areas as well as the Thawr Eyen and Al Makhrawqa military sites in the Kingdom’s Najran region.
