Yemen’s Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Monday the Head of the World Humanitarian Forum Hani Al-Bana and his accompanying team.
Al-Bana reviewed the results of the visits made by the team, expressing his surprise at the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen.
"The humanitarian situation in Yemen is one of the forgotten issues in the world," Al-Bana stated, adding that it "is worse than in many other countries with similar conditions, including Somalia. However, the humanitarian response in Somalia is better than Yemen."
He stressed the importance of developing an emergency budget from all countries of the world to respond to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen.
Al-Bana pointed out that the forum includes many associations that can deal with the difficult humanitarian situation in Yemen until everyone who needs help is reached.
The Foreign Minister stressed that the Saudi-led aggression makes Yemen’s humanitarian situation forgotten and deteriorating.
Sharaf stressed that the Saudi government is paying and bribing many media and international television stations not to shed light on the Yemeni issue.
The Yemeni official pointed to the need to open Sana'a International Airport, stop the aerial bombardment and lift the siege as a basis for starting any negotiations.
