The Yemeni army and popular forces inflicted heavy losses on US-backed Saudi paid aggression and their mercenaries during confrontations in the western coast.
A military official told Yemen’s state-run news agency Saba on Monday that the confrontations resulted in the deaths and injuries of scores of aggression troops and their mercenaries, including the head of the First Brigade operations Col. Fadhl Mohammad Ali Al Halqi along with his escorts as well as the second battalion commander Col. Ahmed Hussein Maqrat and Captain Talib Al Taliby.
The official pointed out that five military vehicles belonging to the mercenaries were also destroyed during the confrontations.
He said most of killed mercenaries were from the southern provinces of Yemen.
