The Yemeni army and the tribal troops managed, on Sunday, to kill scores of the Saudi-backed mercenaries in Nehm district, near the capital Sana'a, and Alghail district in Jawf province.
Military sources said that the Yemeni forces managed to repel an attempt, by the Saudi-backed mercenaries, to advance towards Doudah and Yam mountains in Nehm district, killing and injuring scores of the mercenaries.
In Jawf province, the Yemeni forces carried out operations against the Saudi-backed mercenaries in Alghail district, killing and injuring scores of them.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
