The Yemeni army and popular forces on Thursday destroyed several military vehicles of the Saudi-paid mercenaries in Mocha district of Taiz province, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba.
A rocket attack by the army and popular forces targeted gatherings of the mercenaries' vehicles east of Mocha, which led to destroying them.
Through the March 2015-present military campaign, Saudi Arabia has been unsuccessfully seeking to return power to Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Yemeni army and allied fighters have been defending the nation against the invasion, which has claimed over 11,400 lives, according to the latest tallies.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
