A specialized unit of the Yemeni army and popular forces stormed on Wednesday al-Maqran Saudi military site in Jizan region, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba.
The army and popular forces attacked the site in a quantitative military operation which killed and injured a number of Saudi soldiers, the official said.
Five Saudi military vehicles were destroyed, said the official adding that the allied forces bombed a weapons store.
Meanwhile, a sniper unit of the army and popular forces shot dead two Saudi soldiers at al-Kars site.
The army and popular forces targeted Saudi gatherings and their ordnance at al-Sudaneyah and Zabeed site, causing direct injures against them.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
