Four Saudi-paid mercenaries were killed on Tuesday in Asselo district of Taiz province, a military official disclosed.
The army and popular forces attacked a mercenary position in al-Shabakah area. At least 14 of them were injured in the offensive.
The allied forces also destroyed one mercenary military vehicle in Lahij province, according to the official.
On Monday, the artillery of the Yemeni army and popular forces hit the US-Saudi-paid mercenaries in Maqbanah district of Taiz governorate, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Tuesday.
Moreover, the national army forces bombed a tank and a military vehicle of the mercenaries and seized two military vehicles in southern al-Khadher village of al-Mocha district in the same operation.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
