Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement condemned the Bahraini regime’s recent execution of three young activists, reiterating its support for the oppressed nation of the Persian Gulf country.

In a statement on Monday, Ansarullah movement’s Political Council described the executions as a “heinous crime” committed by the ruling Al Khalifa regime.

“The brutal regime of Bahrain has adopted the policy of killing and torture against its people,” the statement read, noting that the Manama regime is killing its people with the backing of the Saudi regime and the West.

Ansarullah further expressed its full support for the people of Bahrain and called on Muslim and Arab countries as well as international human rights organizations to slam the Al Khalifa regime’s ongoing atrocities against the oppressed Bahraini nation.

Sami Mushaima (42), Ali Al-Singace (21), and Abbas Al-Samea (27) were put to death by firing squad on Sunday, in what marks the first execution in Bahrain since July 2010. The three were tortured in detention after being falsely accused of being involved in the killing of police officers in 2014. Rights groups have dismissed legal proceedings against the men as bias and unfair.
