A military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Sunday that Yemen’s national army and popular committees managed to recapture and secure hilltops in Habashi mountain in Taiz governorate from Saudi-paid mercenaries.
The operation took place overnight.
The national forces also hit gatherings of mercenaries in Raha village, Mdbabi area in Mqubna directorate in the same province.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
