Yemeni Children: "Save Our Lives From Saudi Aggression"

The General Federation of the Yemeni Children staged an event in the capital Sana'a to raise their voices to the world, demanding peace for Yemen.

"Save Our Lives from Saudi Aggression War," the children shouted.

Chairman of the federation, Mustafa Mansor, said the event aimed at delivering a message to the world and international humanitarian organizations, the United Nations in particular, to save lives of the Yemeni children who are exposed to daily-basis aerial bombardment from the US-backed Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.

The event, which was attended by hundreds of school children along with their parents, as well as tens of officials on Sunday, was organized by the Ministry of Youths and Sports.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
