Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs Hesham Sharaf and Interior Minister Mohammed Al-Qawsi met on Tuesday with the United Nations Development Program Country Director Auke Lootsma in the capital Sana’a.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the difficult humanitarian situation experienced by Yemen.
Sharaf stressed that the Supreme political Council and the National Salvation Government came to serve the Yemeni people and ease its suffering as well as normalize the situation in order to serve the citizen from different angels.
The minister reiterated that the government is committed to finding a political solution to the crisis in the war-torn country.
He affirmed the government's devotion to stop the US-Saudi aggression, its readiness to facilitate the work of the humanitarian organization working in Yemen as well as create suitable conditions to bring all diplomats and their missions back to Yemen.
For his part, the UN official Auke Lootsma said that all international organizations working in the humanitarian field stress the need to re-open Sana'a international Airport to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people under the aggression.
Lootsma added that all international organizations look forward to working with the Yemeni government to serve all Yemenis.
