UNHCR Provides Assistances to People in Mahweet

The UN Refugee Agency, in cooperation with Yemen Sky Organization and Yemen’s Women Union (YWU), has provided assistances to the internally displaced people at Atawila District in Mahweet.

According to the District’s Director Shawqi al-Salahi and Head of YWU Ibtisam al-Sana’ani, 19 families benefited from housing assistances provided by the UNHCR. They said that these displaced families living in mass habitation, received blankets and kitchen tools.

The habitation contains 100 IDPs.

Mahweet has received up to 100 thousand IDPs, coming from different governorates. They currently live in schools and other shelters.
