Saudi fighter jets continued to launch air raids on the capital Sana’a on Wednesday morning, an official said.
The warplanes launched five raids on al-Hafa area in al-Sabeen district and targeted agricultural lands behind al-Sabeen Square with another raid, the official elaborated.
The airstrikes caused severe damage to citizens’ homes as well as public and private property.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 11,400 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
