Four citizens were killed following a series of US-Saudi aggression air raids overnight on Shada district of Saada province, a security official told Saba on Monday.

The official said the fighter jets launched six air strikes on areas of Shada directorate, killing the four civilians and damaging their homes.

The jets also launched six raids on the areas of Al-Jathwa and Almagrem in Baqim district, dropping cluster bombs that caused considerable damage to houses and farms and other citizens’ properties.

He added that the aggression warplanes also waged two raids on Malaheeth area of Al-Dhaher district and continued to fly for many hours over most areas.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,400 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
