A Yemeni police official said Monday that the country’s popular forces and police have arrested a total of 81 people over various charges in several governorates over the past two days.
The official said that 58 of the accused were arrested for serious crimes, while 23 charged with petty crimes, and 19 others have been referred to the public prosecutor to complete the legal procedures.
The police and popular forces also retrieved two stolen cars.
The official stressed that the Yemeni police and popular forces will spare no effort to carry out their duties in keeping security and stability in the country as well as preserving public and private properties.
