The US-backed Saudi aggression warplanes launched 38 air strikes across Yemen over the past 24 hours.

The warplanes bombarded the citizens, their properties, public establishments and markets throughout the country, local officials said.

The 38 air strikes hit several civilian areas and districts of northern Saada and Hajja provinces, the capital, Sana’a governorate, southwest Taiz and Lahj provinces and the northeastern province of Marib.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
