Ansarullah: Arrangements of Geneva Conference on Yemen Haven’t Been Completed

The spokesman of the Yemeni Ansarullah group, Mohammad Abdel-Salam, said on Tuesday that consultations on the representation of the political components that must be involved in the Geneva conference on the Yemeni crisis have not yet been completed.

Abdel-Salam pointed out during his statement that Ansarullah has not yet received clarifications from the United Nations [UN] about the arrangements necessary to conduct the conference.

He further recalled the position of his group which welcomes any invitation by the UN Secretary-General to call on the Yemeni political parties to participate in the Geneva conference without preconditions.

The US-led Saudi military aggression against Yemen began on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement, and to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
