Thousands Protest in Yemen’s Capital to Condemn Saudi Attacks

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, to condemn the deadly military strikes by Saudi Arabia against their country on Friday.
Thousands of people joined together in Sana’a following Friday prayers, with demonstrators saying that the barbaric Saudi attacks will not stop them from supporting their revolution and that they will remain steadfast until democracy is restored in Yemen.
They called for an international investigation into the crimes being perpetrated by Saudi Arabia during the ongoing US-led military aggression against Yemen.
The marchers also urged the international community to work for an end to the unjust Saudi blockade of Yemen.
Saudi Arabia is continuing its brutal airstrikes against Yemen despite the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the impoverished country.
Saudi Arabia has also blocked aid to Yemen.
The US-led Saudi military aggression against Yemen started on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement, and to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
