The Yemeni army and popular committees on Tuesday cleared Attias Mountain Range in Serwah district of Mareb province.
The armed forces in cooperation with the popular committees drove the hirelings entirely out of Attias Mountain Range, which overlooks the western side of Kovel camp and also cleared most of Wadi al-Malh area, eastern Serwah, a military official said.
Dozens of the hirelings were killed or injured during the clashes and eight military vehicles and a tank was destroyed.
The operation cams as a response to the violations of the ceasefire committed by the Saudi aggression and its hirelings, the official said.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
