The exiled Yemeni president, Abd Rubbah Mansour Hadi, arrived in Marib City on Sunday to deliver a speech to his loyalists about their upcoming operations in Sanaa’s outskirts.
Hadi vowed to "liberate" Sana’a from the Houthi forces and restore his government’s rule over the country. However, his speech was cut short after local tribesmen began to threaten his forces; this prompted the exiled president to flee the country for Saudi Arabia once again.
Hadi’s attempt to lift the spirits of his loyalists seemed worthless, as the Houthi forces advanced east towards Marib’s provincial capital.
