The Yemeni army backed by the People’s Committees including the Houthi Ansarullah revolutionaries on Friday destroyed a military armored vehicle belonging to the Saudi-led mercenaries in the Dhubab district in Taiz province.

According to Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website, army units targeted an armored vehicles with a guided missile in the southern village Dhubab near Bab al-Mandab, killing and burning several mercenaries.

Meanwhile, a military source reported that the missile forces of the army and people’s committees targeted a gathering of mercenaries west of Malaab area aggression in Al-Wazieya district.

A number of coalition forces were also killed and several others injured earlier Friday when the Yemeni army launched Katyusha rockets at Saudi forces’ gatherings south of Dhubab city.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
