Renewed Coalition Airstrikes Target Areas in Yemen

The US-Saudi aggression launched a series of air raids targeting the provinces of Marib, Taiz and Sana’a on Saturday.

According Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website, Saudi fighter jets launched four raids on Serwah area of Marib province.

A series of raids were also launched on Hreyib Bayhan district, two of which targeted the communications network there.

In Taiz province, several airstrikes hit different areas of Taiz city as well as the areas of Dahbab and Jabal Habashi.

In Sana’a province, an airstrike struck Nehim district.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
