Saudi-led Airstrike Hit Near MSF Facility in Yemen

Doctors Without Borders said its staffers are scared to resume their work in the northern Yemeni city of Sa’ada following two airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition that hit a nearby facility it supports.

The aid group stated, in Twitter postings, that the airstrikes on Tuesday hit 20 meters from the hospital. This as bombings have forced evacuation of their facility in the Razeh district in Sa’ada.

The same facility came under airstrikes in January where four were killed and 10 others injured.

Yemen has been under military attacks by Saudi Arabia since late March last year. The Saudi military strikes were launched in a failed effort to undermine the popular Houthi Ansarullah movement and bring the former fugitive president back to power.

More than 8,300 people, among them 2,236 children, have been killed and 16,015 others injured since the start of the aggression. The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the impoverished country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
