Saudi Raid Targets Areas Across Yemen

The Saudi-led coalition launched on Tuesday an air raid on a factory in Bani Matar district of Sana’a province.

A warehouse of the Yemen Economic Corporation [YECO] in Hamdan district was also targeted.

The air raid caused damage to adjacent residential neighborhoods in the areas.

Meanwhile, the Saudi war jets also launched six airstrikes on areas of Assbarah and Badan districts in Ibb province.

Four sorties hit Naqil al-Khashaba in Assbrah and two others targeted al-Athareb in Badan, police director Brigadier Mohammed al-Shami said.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
