Six Saudi Soldiers Killed in Jizan

The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees including the Houthi Ansarullah movement killed six Saudi soldiers during their stationing in military sites in Jizan province.

The snipers units shot dead four Saudi soldiers in west of al-Tewal outlet and two others in the direction of Midi desert, a military official explained to Saba.

Saudi Arabia began its military aggression against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes are supposedly meant to undermine the Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

More than 7,500 people have been killed and over 14,000 others injured since the strikes began. The Saudi war has also taken a heavy toll on impoverished Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemenis have, meanwhile, been carrying out retaliatory attacks on the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
