The Saudi-led coalition warplanes renewed their raids on the Yemeni capital Sana’a and targeted a number of residential areas in Thawrah district, a security source said on Saturday.

The Saudi airstrikes targeted Wadi Ahmed area and Dariss area in Thawrah district, which led to damage to many houses.

Several raids also targeted the areas of Modam and Dhelaa in Hamdan district in Sana’a province, causing damage in the agricultural lands and sheep pasture.

Yemen has been under constant military attacks by Saudi warplanes since late March.

The air strikes were aimed to supposedly undermine the popular Ansarullah movement, and bring fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a staunch Saudi ally, back to power.

More than 7,500 people have been killed and over 14,000 others wounded since March.
