Residents of the Ash Shihr district in Hadhramaut on Sunday denounced the interruption of water service in the province for years.
Local residents organized a sit-in in front of the directorate’s security department demanding the dismissal of the director of the Water Foundation and hilding into account the people responsible for the failure of the water project in the city.
Meanwhile, the director of the foundation filed a complaint against journalist Saleh Balsawd due to a post on his Facebook page in which he raised questions regarding the reasons for the failure of the Mansoura Reservoir project, which has been stalled for more than two years.
Forces loyal to fugitive former Yemeni president Abd Rabbu Hadi and the Islah party attacked the protesters. Journalist Omar Sami Karashim was also where one of the gunmen assaulted and pulled the camera from him in order to delete the pictures he documented.
