The US- Saudi aggression continues to launch airstrikes on various areas across Yemen at a time when the war-ravaged county is grappling with the new coronavirus outbreak.

It launched, early Friday, a series of raids on various areas in Hajjah and Al-Jawf governorates.

Almasirah correspondent in Hajjah reported that the aggression warplanes launched 3 raids on Haradh Customs, while two raids were carried out on Al-Tina area in Midi district.

In Al-Jawf, reporter stated that the coalition of aggression launched 4 raids on Al-Khusf village in Al-Hzm district.

In Sa’adah, the Saudi enemy targeted with missile and artillery shelling populated villages in the border district of Razih.

The US-Saudi warplanes had launched 10 raids earlier in the Qaniya area in Al-Baidha governorate and launched two raids on Wadi Jarah in Jizan, while it launched a raid on Al-Shabaka in Najran.

The coalition of aggression claimed on April 8 that it was halting military strikes in support of the United Nations’s peace efforts and to avoid the further spread of the new coronavirus in Yemen. However, shortly after the announcement, the coalition’s warplanes struck positions at several Yemeni regions, and the aggression continued.

The head of the Yemen's National Delegation Mohammed Abdulsalam has dismissed the ceasefire claim as “false and misleading”, saying the coalition of aggression had even escalated their offensives against Yemen.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the coronavirus outbreak could rip through Yemen as its population has some of the lowest levels of immunity to disease.

The coronavirus, which causes a respiratory disease known as COVID-19, has spread across many Yemeni cities and governorates, with the total number of infections in the country standing at 65 and the number of fatalities at 10. Many more cases are suspected to be undetected.
