The leader of the Houthi Ansarullah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Baderddin al-Houthi, said on Tuesday that his countrymen will defend their land and will not sacrifice their "dignity" and "independence" in the face of Saudi Arabia’s relentless attacks.
"Today there is an invasion and attempts to occupy this country, and it is of importance that the Yemeni people are aware of this truth that there are those who wish to control this country", said Sayyed Houthi during a television broadcast on Tuesday.
He further said that Washington and Riyadh are responsible for the suffering of the people in the region, and that the "Israeli" regime and Saudi Arabia were "a shared entity in a single project".
"Have the US, "Israel" and Saudi Arabia brought freedom to the world or are they enslaving this world?" Sayyed Houthi asked in his speech.
He revealed that "Israel" has lately moved missiles to Khamis Mushayt military base inside Saudi Arabia, indicating that the Saudi regime is cooperating with the Zionist regime to drag the region into strife.
Sayyed Houthi, however, urged the Yemeni people to bear responsibility and take advantage of all the values that they have in order to face the Saudi-led invasion.
"We will be able to expel and break them [the aggression forces], just like those free people of Lebanon and Iraq who were able to expel the "Israeli" and US enemy out of their countries", he said.
Referring to the Saudi war on Yemen, he noted that, "Everyone must move to the front lines."
"Today, we must consolidate our independence because occupation means slavery", he stressed.
Moreover, Sayyed Houthi made it clear that the seven-point proposal that was presented in the Sultanate of Oman has annulled all justifications for the aggression.
A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out a military aggression on Yemen by launching airstrikes against the country since March 26. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].
