The bodies of two Yemeni charity employees kidnapped two days ago were found in the country's southern port city of Aden on Thursday evening, a security official told Xinhua.

The local security source who asked to remain anonymous said that "local residents found the bodies of the former coordinator of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and one of his assistants in Sheikh Othman neighborhood north of Aden."

He indicated that Ahmed Fouad Yousifi, a former general coordinator of the ERC in Aden, along with his friend was kidnapped two days ago by unknown gunmen before finding their bodies this evening.

The ERC's employees were found blindfolded and handcuffed with bullet holed in their heads near an abandoned building in the city, according to the local security source.

Regime officials, including high-ranking security commanders and intelligence officers, have been the prime targets of kidnapping incidents as well as armed attacks launched by unknown gunmen in recent months.

The southern port city of Aden is considered as the temporary capital of the Saudi-backed resigned regime of Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi since 2015.
