Millions of Yemenis took to the streets of Saada city on Monday to protest last week’s assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, the deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) or the Hashd al-Shaabi Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and their companions in Baghdad.
The protesters also condemned crimes committed by the US and their allies in the region.
A similar demonstration is organized to take place in the capital Sana’a later in the afternoon.
The military leaders and their companions were assassinated by a US drone strike on their convoy near Baghdad International Airport late on Thursday.
