A source in the Yemeni military confirmed that tens of troops and mercenaries of the US-led Saudi aggression on Yemen were killed or wounded in major operations launched by the national military in the Yemeni province of Marib.

The military source said that eight military vehicles were destroyed in the vicinity Al-Balaq, That Al-Ra’ and Marbat Al-Dam in Marib during the past few hours.

Another Saudi military vehicle was also destroyed as well as crew killed in a mortar shelling by the Yemeni army and the Popular Committees that targeted Al-Jihad center near the site of Al-Radif in Jizan, southwest of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has been bombarding Yemen for 191 days.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies backed by the United States began to launch a military aggression against Yemen by launching air strikes against the country in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former Yemeni President, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The airstrikes have not been authorized by the UN.

As a result, the Yemeni army backed by popular committees and tribal fighters has been responding to the aggression by targeting several Saudi border military posts and cleansing several areas across the country from Hadi and al-Qaeda-linked militias.
