A spokesman for Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, Mohammad Abdul-Salam, condemned the Saudi-led attack on the residence of Omani ambassador to Sana’a, describing it as a violation of international laws.

Abdul-Salam said that the attack was a retaliation aimed at dealing a blow to Oman’s brotherly role in the Yemen conflicts, according to Yemen’s al-Masirah TV.

The airstrike was in contradiction to the international charters and diplomatic regulations, he further said.

He noted that the Omani envoy’s residence was targeted because of Muscat’s role in the Arab world, its appropriate stances towards the conflicts in Yemen and its willingness to stop the Saudi-led aggression on Yemeni people.

The Saudi-led airstrikes hit the residence in Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, on Friday and seriously damaged the Omani ambassador’s home and nearby houses in al-Sabin district.

A Saudi Arabian-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out a military aggression on Yemen by launching airstrikes against the country since March 26. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].
