Yemeni forces shelled Saudi-backed militants in Yemen’s Hajjah province on Wednesday, reportedly killing and injuring scores of fighters.
Meanwhile, a separate assault by Yemeni forces is said to have inflicted further casualties in Jawf province.
The Yemen Press Agency also reported on Wednesday that the Yemeni army and popular committees repelled two infiltration attempts by Saudi-backed fighters in Jawf.
Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastating military campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the aim of bringing the resigned regime of Hadi back to power and crushing the country’s popular Houthi Ansarullah movement.
