Israel is reportedly supplying Saudi Arabia with hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of espionage technology.
The Jerusalem Post, which cited the London-based Al-Khaleej Online, reported that the deals were clinched during secret meetings between the two sides in Washington and London and have an estimated worth of USD 250.
“Some of the spy systems, which are the most sophisticated systems Israel has ever sold to any Arab country, have already been transferred to Saudi Arabia and put into use after a Saudi technical team received training in operating them," The Jerusalem Post writes.
Last month, Al-Khaleej Online reported that the Saudis purchased Israel’s missile defense Iron Dome systems for “tens of millions of dollars”.
Regional experts argued that the accelerated unveiling of the alliance between Tel Aviv and Riyadh is mainly aimed at challenging Iranian interests across the Middle East.
