900 Days of Saudi-led Aggression: Twitter Campaign for the Forgotten War on Yemen

Local Editor

Social media activists are organizing a Twitter campaign to mark 900 days since a Saudi-led coalition launched a military campaign against the Yemeni people.

The campaign will take place at 8:00 PM Monday to highlight the recent massacres and horrific crimes committed by the US-Saudi coalition against Yemenis.

Organizers of the Twitter campaign called on everyone to actively participate in this campaign to remember the forgotten war on Yemen.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 12,000 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
