The Yemeni army and popular forces’ artillery targeted Saudi soldiers in al-Rabou'ah area of Asir province, an army official told Saba on Saturday.

The artillery also targeted other groups of enemy Saudi soldiers in Al Hammad and al-Nashmah areas in the same province, inflicting heavy losses on the troops.

Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched four airstrikes on al-Tala'ah in Asir province.

Through the March 2015-present military campaign, Saudi Arabia has been unsuccessfully seeking to return power to Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

The Yemeni army and allied fighters have been defending the nation against the invasion, which has claimed over 11,400 lives, according to the latest tallies.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
