The artillery of the Yemeni army and popular forces fired shells on a gathering of US-Saudi-paid aggression mercenaries on Salah district in Taiz province, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Saturday.
The artillery hit the mercenaries in Alwakile hilltop in the district.
The army’s artillery also hit the mercenaries in east of al-Mokha city and Alkadaha area in AL-Maafer district, causing direct casualties.
Through the March 2015-present military campaign, Saudi Arabia has been unsuccessfully seeking to return power to Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Yemeni army and allied fighters have been defending the nation against the invasion, which has claimed over 11,400 lives, according to the latest tallies.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
