Yemen’s army and popular forces repelled attempts by the occupation forces and their mercenaries to move toward east of Mocha district in Taiz province, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Friday.
The invasion and aggression forces and their mercenaries suffered big losses in life and gear during the confrontations, the official added.
The botched attempts were accompanied by intensive bombing from the aggression warplanes and battleships.
Through the March 2015-present military campaign, Saudi Arabia has been unsuccessfully seeking to return power to Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Yemeni army and allied fighters have been defending the nation against the invasion, which has claimed over 11,400 lives, according to the latest tallies.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
