The artillery of Yemen’s national army and popular forces fired shells on gatherings of the Saudi troops near al-Ebadiyah tower in the border province of Jizan early on Saturday, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Saturday.
The shelling inflicted heavy casualties upon the enemy.
Through the March 2015-present military campaign, Saudi Arabia has been unsuccessfully seeking to return power to Yemen’s former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
The Yemeni army and allied fighters have been defending the nation against the invasion, which has claimed over 11,400 lives, according to the latest tallies.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
