Yemen’s Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Saturday with the United Nations Resident Coordinator/Humanitarian Coordinator and United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Jamie McGoldrick.
The meeting in Sana’a dealt with a number of issues related to the activities of the UN offices working in the country and ways of enhancing them as well as facilitating their performance to enable them to provide their services to the Yemeni citizens.
Sharaf stressed on the necessity of reopening the Sana'a International Airport before the commercial and civilian navigation as a prerequisite for the success of any steps to boot the political process and resume peace talks.
For his part, McGoldrick confirmed the presence of all programs and organizations and offices of the United Nations and the keenness to expand their activities.
